About the Graduate Diploma Public Relations

The IPRS-SMU Graduate Diploma in Public Relations is the result of close collaboration between PR industry experts and academics represented by IPRS and SMU. It is designed to meet the industry's demand for higher-level communication expertise and knowledge and to narrow the gap for PR professionals in Singapore and the region.

The Graduate Diploma is a 12-month part-time programme. It covers 10 compulsory courses. It is ideal for Communication Professionals with about three (3) years of practice and a good first degree, and who are looking to boost their career with a specialist diploma.

The 10 compulsory courses are:

  • Strategy
  • Digital Media
  • Corporate Reputation
  • Leadership and Communication
  • Persuasion
  • Global Journalism
  • Investor Relations
  • Corporate Communication Research
  • Data Analytics
  • Communication Planning

Applicants who have been certified as 'Competent' in two WSQ courses will be eligible for one course exemption. Please see details below:

Note: Credit exemption works on 2:1 basis, that is, for two WSQ courses, a GDPR student gets one course exemption.
