TMC Academy-IPRS MOU Renewal Ceremony
On 11 October 2018, the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS) and TMC Academy renewed the TMC Academy-IPRS Student Chapter Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU renewal was signed by John Lee, CEO, TMC Academy and Eric Chan, Honorary Treasurer, IPRS Council 2017/2019.
The myriad of valuable learning opportunities was only made possible through the TMC Academy-IPRS Student Chapter, which was first launched in 2016 in TMC Academy. This partnership provides TMC Academy students with a platform for learning about the industry’s best practices and experiencing what PR and Communication is about.
The event was opened by Haven Liu, TMC Academy-IPRS Student Chapter President. Speaking from his experience as a participant of all the IPRS activities he had attended, he shared, “The Student Chapter has opened up many doors and opportunities for me to grow as an individual. I’ve learnt many things – one of which is to be open minded and curious in life. Public Relations has been a great platform for me to push myself out of my comfort zone and gain confidence in everything I do. I would like to thank IPRS for providing students with such opportunities.”
Eric Chan, Honorary Treasurer, IPRS Council 2017/2019, also shared on how Public Relations and Communications played an important role in today’s world, as well as announced a new initiative from IPRS which is the launch of the IPRS Mentorship Programme.
